Scott Meidenbauer, CEO
Scotty, owner, president, & CEO of Byrncliff is the main leader of the organization. Some affectionately call him "the Big Wheel". In pursuit of his father’s dreams, Scotty has worked for 36 years building up Byrncliff. His visions have made Byrncliff what it is today and provide a plan for the future of the company. Scotty’s inspirations come from his true "love of the (golf) game", his desire to provide an excellent product for his guests, and his wish to give back to the community.
Patricia Meidenbauer, Restaurant & Hotel General Manager
Patty, part owner, has worked at Byrncliff for 33 years in many different roles. Over the years, she has been a crucial element of operations. Patty enjoys managing the restaurant, banquet, hotel, and office operations. Her down-to-earth management style and concern for others make her well-liked by the staff and customers. Although her duties keep her busy all year round, she looks forward to the influx of guests to the resort during the peak golf and ski seasons.
Lindsay Meidenbauer, Director of Sales & Marketing
Lindsay is the third generation of Meidenbauers to be involved in operating and managing of Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center. Recently, she became the Director of Sales & Marketing at Byrncliff in the fall of 2005 after earning her bachelors degree in Hotel, Restaurant, & Institutional Management from the University of Delaware. Lindsay brings a fresh outlook, new ideas, and work experience from various hospitality fields to the company.
Lynne George, Reservations Manager
Lynne is positioned at the heart of Byrncliff's operations, reservations. She has been at the main switchboard for 11 years. Customers from far and wide are greeted by her with enthusiasm and a delightfully cheery voice. Lynne can assist you with your lodging, party, wedding, golf outing, and/or dining needs.
Nancy Braaten, Head Cook
Nancy has managed the Byrncliff kitchen for 15 years. Throughout the years, she has been behind the burners bringing our guests everything from our tasty NY Strip Steak, to our mouth-watering Jumbo Chicken Wings, and our famous fish frys. Nancy enjoys coming up with new ideas to keep our menus fresh. She plays an important role in our company.
Joanne Thornton, Executive Housekeeper
With over 17 years of experience, Joanne is able to keep the Byrncliff facilities meticulously clean and well-kept. She has an eye for detail and nothing goes by her unnoticed. Joanne is a key player when it comes to ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience at Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center.
Eric Bugenhagen, Director of Golf
Eric is the resident golf expert at Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center. He has over 19 years of experience with golf, nine of which are with Byrncliff. When in comes to understanding and playing the game, organizing the golf pro-shop, managing tournaments, and making customers happy, Eric demonstrates superb talent.
Al Stein, Golf Course Superintendent
Al, the mastermind behind golf course operations, has been with Byrncliff for 13 years. With years of experience in the golf industry, Al has been an influential person to Byrncliff. He has developed the Byrncliff golf course into the attractive and challenging course it is today. Al strives to provide an "Atmosphere of Excellence" for guests and staff alike.
Brian Eddy, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Brian, a 2004 graduate of SUNY Delhi with a bachelor's degree in Golf Course Management, started at Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center in the spring of 2005. His technical skills, superior work ethic, and previous work experience have made him an asset to Byrncliff and a strong addition to the team.
Keith Buttles, Board of Directors & Former Director of Golf
Keith has been a part of Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center almost since the beginning. Going on 39 years of employment, he has helped Byrncliff grow and develop over the years. Keith has always held key positions within the company. Now retired, he currently works part-time in the Golf Shop.
